Hi, Im stating my own organization and i am looking for sponsors to promote it where should I search?

Hi, My name is Aileah, I am starting a organization/group for dancers and I am looking for sponsors to help get the group funding started, and places where we can perform. How do I go about doing this? and does my group have to be a nonprofit even if we are including community service into our requirements?
