Can a tax exempt nonprofit fund raise in states where it was not incorportated?

We incorporated a small nonprofit in the state of Wyoming. It also has Federal tax exempt status. My husband and I are board members and would like to be able to market our soft toy mascot in California where we reside now. Does the nonprofit have to register in California or does the nonprofit have the right to fund raise in any state?
